Saudi security personnel land their helicopter in the Empty Quarter (Rub Al-Khali) to retrieve the dead bodies of a missing Qatari man and his wife. The security forces launched a massive search operation after receiving information about the missing couple. The Qatari man’s vehicle was found in the desert. They found his wife lying dead inside the vehicle that had got stuck in the sand. The husband’s body was found 10 km away from the spot. He was supposed to have left the vehicle in his failed bid to get some water and both the husband and the wife died of thirst, according to security sources. The bodies were taken to Al-Ahsa regional airport as per the request of their relatives. — SPA
