RIYADH – Veteran Saudi journalist and former editor-in-chief of Al-Riyadh newspaper Turki Al-Sudairi passed away Sunday morning. He was 75.
Al-Sudairi will be buried in Al-Shuaiba Cemetery in Diriyah on Monday after funeral prayers at King Khalid Mosque in Umm Al-Hamam following Asr prayer.
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman expressed deep sorrow over the death of Al-Sudairi. In a phone talk with the family members of Al-Sudairi, the King recalled his close relationship with the late media doyen as a friend and journalist who had contributed immensely to the Saudi media.
King Salman offered condolences to the family of Al-Sudairi and prayed to Almighty Allah to rest his soul in peace.
The family of Al-Sudairi received condolences from several princes, ministers, including Minister of Culture and Information Awwad Al-Awwad, as well as senior officials and prominent figures from the media community.
Al-Sudairi also held the position of chairman of the Saudi Journalists Association.
