Jamia Nizamia alumni welcome pilgrims

JEDDAH — The alumni association of Jamia Nizamia, “Bazme Tulba-E-Qadeem W Muhibban-E-Jamia Nizamia,” organized a function to welcome pilgrims recently at a local restaurant here.

The alumni president, Mohammed Naveed Afroz Naveed presided. Jamia is one of the leading and oldest Islamic universities in Hyderabad. Hafiz Qazi Muhammad Nizauddin Gouri compered in the program.

Maulana Syed Golam Khawaja Fazil Jamia Nizamia and lecturer, Maulana Qazi Sufi Shah Abdul Qadir Qadri, Molvi Sufi Mohd Abdulrehman Tabrez and Molvi Hafiz Qadri Abrar Ahmed Khanmultani from Jamia Nizamia were special guests of the evening.

Maulana Hafiz Mohd Abdul Salam Aziz Anwari presented a beautiful Qirat which was followed by a Na’at from Hafiz Salim Qadri.

Maulana Syed Golam Khawaja addressed the gathering and shed light on the lives of Prophet’s (peace be upon him) companions. The alumni president, Mohammed Naveed Afroz also addressed the gathering.

Later shawls and plaques were presented to guests by alumni association. Mohd Maslahuddin Jawid Sabri, VP of educational committee; Syed Mohd Abdul Rub Hamid Qadri, VP finance committee; Syed Durwaish Mohiuddin Qadri; Mir Mohd Ali; Mir Ehtisham Ali and Syed Zakir Qadri were among the guests.

Mir Shoeb Ali and Mohd Masihuddin Kalim Sabri were in charge of the arrangements.

The program concluded with supplication for world’s peace and prosperity by Maulana Sufi AbdulQadir Sani.
