JEDDAH — Babar Mughal of ATC slammed 106, Cousins XI humbled INMA by 141 runs, whereas Al-Saudi Green, Al-Mazroi Salonpas, ADI XI, AGA and Apex Express emerged victorious in the WPCA Summer Morning Tournament.
Al-Saudi Green beat Indomie Universal United Cups by 4 wickets. Indomie posted 187. Ziad smashed 75 in 38 balls with 14 fours as he added 75 with Bilal Ahmed (26). Azeem made 18 and Shoaib 15. Adil grabbed 4 for 39.
Al-Saudi Green reached 188 for 6 in 104 balls. Al-Saudi Green lost wickets at regular intervals but Nazeer Farooqui held one end to blast an unbeaten 70 in 39 balls with the help of 12 hits fours as Nadeem Saad made 22, Mazhar Abbasi 39 and Abbas Saad 16. Rashid took 2-38.
Al-Mazroi Salonpas defeated Stallions by 3 wickets. Stallions produced 150 for 7. Aqeel smashed 63 in 42 balls as he added 59 with Talha (20). Opener Mansour made 22 but once the pair was sent back they lost wickets in a heap to be reduced to 67 for 6. Sufiyan Laheri grabbed 3-23 and Abdullah 2-25.
Al-Mazroi Salonpas chased 151 for 7 in 117 balls. Salman made 32, Farook 38 and Omer an unbeaten 23. Faizan scalped 3-31 and Talha 2-19.
Cousins XI crushed INMA by 141 runs. Cousins amassed 245 for 5. Irfan Ashraf remained unbeaten on 86 off 45 balls with 4 sixes and 7 fours as he a first added 55 with Aqeel (42) and then 94 runs in 53 balls with Mamoon (36). Qamar hit 20. Aman took 2-51.
INMA crashed to 104 and lost by 141 runs. Mir Ali made 20 and Ikram 15. Sohail took 3-34, Naveed 2-16, Qamer 2-18 and Akhil 2-23.
ATC had the last laugh against Sadafco by 104 runs. ATC racked up 221 for 5. Babar Mughal batted magnificently to blast a fine century 106 in 49 balls with 3 sixes and 14 fours. He added 44 first with Usman Amjad (30) and then 108 in 68 balls for the fourth wicket with Kashif (37). Ahmed took 2-29.
Sadafco was restricted to 117 for 9. Ahmed made 36 and Ali Jan 19. Sadafco lost 5 wickets for just 8 runs to be tottering at 90 for 7 from 82 for 2. Usman Khan took 3-16 and Usman Jani 2-19.
ADI XI won against Nawayeth by 19 runs. ADI XI piled up 174 for 7. Adeel was run out for 56 in 32 balls, Bilal 38 and Qaiser 21. Basim took 3 for 35.
Nawayeth was restricted to 155 for 9. Fahad top scored with 56 off 21 balls and Rafique 19. Ajaz claimed 4 for 28.
AGA crushed Hyderabad Strikers by 8 wickets in 46 balls. Hyderabad Strikers was stranded at 94 for 6. Irfan Ayazuddin stroked 43 and Omer 21. Aslam took 2-18.
AGA reached 95 for 2 as Atif scored 38, Mumzil an unbeaten on 26 and Yasin an unbeaten 15. Omer scalped 2-27.
Apex Express continued its winning streak by recording a 52-run win. Apex Express racked up 182 for 5. Ahmed scored with 56 in 27 balls as he added 64 with Asif Hameed 8. Abubaker hit 48, adding 59 with Mohammed Asif (25). Nazim took 2-31.
Bihar International Fighter replied with 130 for 9. Osman was run out for 32, Zain hit 19 and Moin an unbeaten 19. Ahmed grabbed 3 for 9 and Mohsin 3 for 10.
Summer Afternoon
Lothers defeated Contraco and UCC crushed NAI Juffali in the WPCA Summer Afternoon Tourney. Yasser Ameen and Ahmed Faraz excelled for UCC.
Lothers beat Contraco by 52 runs. Lothers piled up 178 for 7. Mushtaq compiled 48, Yasar 25, Suraj was run out for 36, Khurram hit 19 and Shibu 16. Rashid scalped 4 for 29.
Contraco replied with 126. Afzaal hit 44, Waseem 18, Asif Mehmood 15 and Sufiyan 21. Talha took 3-19 and Pardeep 2-19.
UCC crushed NAI Juffali by 94 runs. UCC piled up 171 for 9. Ahmed Faraz top scored with 50 in 39 balls as he first added 45 with Obaidurrehman (15) and then 43 with Ibrar Khan 20. Sarfaraz Riyaz contributed 26, Irfan Ghulam 15 and Raja Mudassir an unbeaten 21. Kafii took 3 for 30 and Rafi 2-26.
NAI Juffali was wrapped up for 77. Yasser Ameen grabbed 4-9, Ahmed Faraz 2-11 and Aamir 2-16.
