Saudi Arabia, France review cooperation in atomic energy

PARIS — A Saudi delegation, led by the President of Riyadh-based King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz City for Atomic and Renewable Energy Dr. Hashim Bin Abdullah Yamani, reviewed the Saudi National Atomic Energy Project with the Secretary General of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs Christian Masset.
The step intended to brief the French side on the developments of the national project and discuss ways of mutual cooperation opportunities as well as how to implement various components of the project.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways of cooperation between the two countries in the field of peaceful uses of atomic energy as France is one of the leading countries in this field, and the French technology is one of the global technologies seen appropriate for this project.
The French side expressed admiration for the modules of the National Atomic Energy Project and France's readiness to cooperate with the Saudi side. — SPA
