TAIF — The Ministry of Health has prepared four hospitals and 46 health centers in Arafat to provide medical care to the pilgrims though they will stay there for one day only from early morning to sunset.
According to a ministry's spokesman, the hospitals and the heath centers were well equipped as it they were going to operate and remain open for a whole year not one day.
The ministry said the four hospitals together have a combined capacity of 600 beds in addition to the operation theaters and a number of clinics for various specializations.
These hospitals are: Al-Rahma, Arafat General Hospital, Namirah and the East of Arafat hospital.
The ministry said the hospitals and the health centers have emergency wards, intensive care units, outpatient clinics, pharmacies and special beds for sunstroke.
On the other hand, director of the medical services of the armed forces, Maj.Gen. Soliman Bin Mohammed Al-Malik has opened the new military ambulance center in Mina which contains 11 beds, four clinics, a central pharmacy and a lab.
The armed forces have a 250-bed hospital in Mina in addition to a number of dispensaries in the holy sites and medical evacuation aircraft.
