MAKKAH — Some 424 pilgrims of various nationalities have given up smoking at the clinics of the Kafa (enough) Saudi Society to enlighten people against the hazards of smoking and drugs.
The society launched a campaign against smoking under the title: "Let Us Keep the Haram a Clean Environment". And it has reaped immense benefits.
The society's director, Ibrahim Al-Hamdan, said the society launched the second phase of its anti-smoking campaign on the first day of Eid in Mina near the Jamarat area.
He said the society's doctors gave advice to more than 600 pilgrims about the hazards of smoking. "In all 424 of the pilgrims immediately decided to give up the habit," he said.
