Al-Mouri claims another title

JEDDAH — Following his triumphant return in "Baha Hill Climb 2017" race, captain of Hankook Racing Team, Saeed Al-Mouri, held his leading position in the Motorsport arena in Saudi Arabia by winning the first edition of User Rally in T2 category recently.

The 1st edition of "Baja Aseer Rally 2017" was held at Tareeb desert, 100 km away from Abha, under the supervision of the Saudi Arabian Motor Federation, where Al-Mouri participated aboard Nissan Patrol equipped with Hankook tire "Dyna-pro, which was designed for desert rallies.

The total distance of the rally was 153 km, and was divided into three stages — special stage 1 (SS1) for a distance of 4km, special stage 2 (SS2) for a distance of 91 km and special stage 3 (SAS3) for a distance of 57km.

During SS1, Al-Mouri demonstrated his high driving skills, and thrilled the audience with his maneuvering techniques and car handling capabilities.

At the conclusion of the race, Al-Mouri commented: "This is the second time in my career, I participated in a desert rally and it was tough and difficult; especially SS2, where I came first though it was very long and full of dunes and harsh curves. However, the rally was fun and required vast experience and equipment with high performance to overcome its difficulties. My team and I did our best to come first. It was memorable moments when I stood on the podium as 2nd place winner in T2 category in overall rating.
