JEDDAH — The Rewa’a team of volunteers conducted Eid Al-Adha celebrations for the infants of King Abdulaziz University (KAU) hospital last Wednesday, with the attendance of the alternate director of the hospital, several doctors, social workers and guests.
The 39th event organized by the Rewa’a team focused on providing ill infants, and their families at KAU hospital a moment of cheer on the happy occasion of Eid. The ceremony contained various children entertainment activities like, playing with clowns, different types of games, interactive competitions, even dancing with the kids. All the activities made the children’s day marvelous and memorable.
“TOYS 'R' US”, as part of their corporate social responsibility, sponsored the event and provided the children with gifts and toys. After the sequence of activities, the volunteers of Rewa’a distributed the gifts and toys with the clowns personally going to the disabled children, who could not walk to the dais to collect their gifts.
Moa’ayad Ghashgari, founder of the Rewa'a team, emphasized: “The goal of this celebration is to bring happiness to the heart of these infants who cannot enjoy the delight of Eid inside the four walls of the hospital,”
He added: “These children are forced to stay in the hospital during Eid so we decided to pay them a visit and to bring the delight of Eid to their rooms.”
The alternate director of KAU hospital Mohammad Al-Salem expressed his happiness and noted: “The celebration that Rewa’a conducted was a great effort and I really thank them for being here with the children during Eid days.”
