MADINAH — Hammad Saeed has been elected as President of Madinah Cricket League (MCL) at a meeting attended by Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC) officials and representatives from 18 clubs of the MCL clubs.
SCC officials Sadequl Islam, Rahat Chaudhry and Kashif Baig supervised the election process. The office-bearers are: Naeem Majeed (chairman), Hammad Saeed (president), Amanat Ali (sr. vice president), Sajid Rana (vice president), Sajjad Awan (general secretary), Tauseef Rehman (media coordinator), Musawir Mohiuddin and Arslan Mushtaq (finance department), Wahab Bhutta (youth development in charge) and Muhammed Javed (chairman tournament committee).
Sadequl Islam ensured the support of SCC in terms of development of cricket in MCL. SCC will also sponsor three major tournaments in one season.
President Saeed thanked SCC representatives and all teams for their support. He promised to develop cricket in MCL and provide facilities to teams and arrange good cricketing activities and tournaments. He also appreciated Patron in Chief Ahmed Bakur Zaidan for his trust and support for Asian community to play cricket in Madinah. — SG
