Riyadh — “Saudi Arabia is moving forward very fast.” This is the most common refrain to hear at the Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference in progress in Riyadh.

“Nowadays the youth is taking a major part in the progress of the Kingdom,” Bader Al-Bedair, head of PR & International Corporate Communications at Boeing Company, told Saudi Gazette on the sidelines of the FII conference.

He said, “One of the aims of Kingdom’s Vision 2030 is to educate and train the Saudi workforce. There are many youth like Reema Harbi, who are engaged in the development process. Many Saudi youths are influential leaders, deep thinkers, investors and excellent planners.”

Al-Bedair went on to highlight the major role played by young women in the Kingdom. “Women entered almost every field of profession. I was very impressed at seeing Saudi women participating and speaking in this international conference,” he said.

“The mindset of our youth has now changed. They are more practical, innovative, proactive and creative. I believe all of this has happened rapidly due to the opportunities presented to them through such conferences, forums, and most notably the unwavering support by the government to SMEs especially the e-commerce,” he added.
