FLYADEAL, Saudi Arabia’s new low fare airline, flew its first flight to Dammam on Nov. 1. The new daily flight from Jeddah non-stop to Dammam is part of flyadeal’s expansion plan across the Kingdom, serving key gateway cities.

Turki A. Aljawini, CEO of Dammam Airports Company (DACO), congratulated Flyadeal on the commencement of operations to and from KFIA. Expressing that the addition of Flyadeal to the DACO family will add value to the airport and to the region at large and is on track to contribute to development of tourism in the Eastern Province. Aljawini also indicated that the increased competition among carriers operating in Saudi will also help to drive down costs and improve services.

Chairman of flyadeal Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser said “the success of flyadeal has been largely attributed to our customers, prompting the start of additional flights and launch of new routes in a short period of time. We are pleased to expand and add our third destination – Dammam – in just five weeks, since the start of the airline.”

Con Korfiatis, CEO of flyadeal, celebrated the expansion of the low fare airline network remarking, “We are excited to mark yet another milestone for flyadeal as we start flying to Dammam. This was made possible with the arrival of Al-Sayf, our third aircraft, which has helped us broaden our reach across the Kingdom allowing more customers to experience everyday low fares. We are delighted to make our entry into the dynamic industrial hub of Dammam and the Eastern Province. The flights went on sale on October 24 and the sales have been overwhelmingly positive.”

flyadeal’s new routes were popular choices among customers on social media platforms. flyadeal is expected to announce new routes in the coming months as it continues to expand operations across Saudi Arabia and the region.

Initially flyadeal will operate one daily flight between Jeddah and Dammam and later it will asdd new destination and more flights.

Flyadeal has been created to meet the growing demand to affordable air travel in the Kingdom and the Middle East. Owned by Saudi Arabian Airlines Corporation flyadeal will operate its initial fleet of brand new A320s in the single class configuration.
