RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman paid a visit to Prince Muqrin Bin Abdul Aziz to offer condolences on the death of his son Prince Mansour Bin Muqrin, deputy emir of Asir region.

Prince Mansour and those accompanying him died in a helicopter crash on Sunday.

Funeral prayer will be performed on Tuesday after Asr prayer at Imam Turki Bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh, the Royal Court said in a statement.

On Sunday morning, as part of his periodic inspection tours, Prince Mansour, accompanied by officials, boarded a helicopter to tour a number of coastal projects west of Abha city, Interior Ministry’s security spokesman said in a statement.

While returning in the evening, contact with the helicopter was lost in the vicinity of the Jarf Rida Nature Reserve.

Later the wreckage of the helicopter was found.

The Jarf Rida Nature Reserve is spread around nine square kilometers in the southwest of Saudi Arabia’s Sarawat Mountains about 20 km northwest of Abha.
