BEIRUT — “Future Movement” members in the parliament held an emergency meeting this evening at Al-Wassat House under the chairmanship of Fuoad Al-Siniora. The movement discussed the latest developments related to the political situation and the return of Prime Minister Saad Hariri to Beirut.
The movement confirmed the following:
Firstly, the “Future Movement” members in the parliament condemn any campaigns targeting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its leadership. It considers these campaigns as part of the plan to undermine the national stability. In this connection, the movement stresses the brotherly relations with the Kingdom and rejects the statements against the Kingdom and Prime Minister Hariri. The movement stresses its love for the Kingdom and appreciates the Kingdom’s historic role in supporting Lebanon.
Secondly, while reiterating this, the movement categorically rejects the Iranian meddling in the affairs of the sisterly Arab countries. The movement considers this to be one of the factors of inciting sedition, conflicts and wars in the region. Hence, it condemns the attacks by Iran’s puppets in Yemen and other places, targeting the Kingdom. It demands a consensus Arab stand towards the Iranian policies that holds Iran responsible for the consequences and risks of its acts.
Thirdly, the movement reiterates that it is rallying behind Prime Minister Saad Hariri. It is patiently and anxiously waiting for his return to Lebanon so as to shoulder his national responsibilities and protect the nation from the looming threats.
