Jeddah Warriors bags Titan Watch–JBL ICC Trophy

JEDDAH
— Jeddah Warriors of Coach Paste defeated Brawlers 111-105 in game 2 to emerge champion for the Inter Commercial division here at the Nazeeh and Wartah (Al Baik) Park basketball court in Khalidia Jeddah. Both teams played excellent basketball, the winner showing heart in the dying seconds as the losers kept on attacking their defense. Morris Solar topscored with 31 points for the winner and was adjudged the Titan Watch best player of the game while Garcia chipped in with 31 points for the losers.

This tournament is principally sponsored by Titan Watch of Al Hussaini & Al Yahya Investment Group (Othman Al-Husssaini) and co-sponsored by Giordano Fashions (Ahmadullah) and Radian Massage Cream (Mahmoud Omer).

The awarding ceremony was spearheaded by Mohammed Rasheed with the able support of JBL staff and friends

The awardees in the 40 and above Division are Wasalak 40’s: Champion, R Printing: 1st Runner-up, Jeddah Engineers: 2nd Runner-up and BHBC: 3rd Runner-up. The elite mythical five best players are Juanillo Cortes – Jeddah Engineers, Jameel Cobre – R Printing, Guerrero – R Printing, Jun Pantalleon – Wasalak 40’s and Elmer Brian – Wasalak 40’s. Jun Laron was awarded as the Best Coach while Jun Pantalleon (Wasalak 40’s) adjudged as the Most Valuable Player (MVP).

The awardees in the Non-rated Inter Commercial Division are Jeddah Warriors: Champion, Blazers: 1st Runner-up, Sunbullah: 2nd Runner-up and Brawlers: 3rd Runner-up. The elite mythical five best players are Abdullah Mangulamas – Sunbullah, Rasheed Gandaruza – Blazers, Francis Garcia – Blazers, Morris S. Solar – Jeddah Warriors and George Solomon Butt – Jeddah Warriors, Thonie Joseph Paste was awarded as the Best Coach while Morris S. Solar – Jeddah Warriors was adjudged as the Most Valuable Player (MVP).
