Drive against iqama, labor law violators to begin tomorrow

— The Ministry of Interior will begin on Wednesday the drive to arrest the violators of iqama (residence permit), labor and border security regulations after an amnesty ends on Tuesday.

The amnesty was given to violators to either rectify their status or leave the Kingdom without facing any penalties.

The first 90-day amnesty ended on June 25 then it was extended for another 90-day. The grace period was again extended till Nov. 14. (Tuesday).

Anyone providing shelter to violators or transporting them or employing them will face stiff penalties.

The Ministry of Interior urged citizens and expats to abide by the regulations and directives that forbid dealing with the violators of iqama, labor and border security regulations.

The ministry urged citizens and expats to inform it about violators on the number 999.
