JEDDAH — Jeddah Grammar International School (JGIS) recently celebrated a colorful and mesmerizing Children’s Day. It was a fun-filled day with amazing surprises every minute. There was a list of exciting and entertaining activities that made the day lively.
The school was well decorated with balloons, Children’s Day posters, and party poppers. There were a number of stalls in every corner which had fun filled and exciting activities such as bowling, face painting, dart game, mini soccer, musical chairs, and food stalls. The children had an exciting day with pop-corns, chocolate fountain, sugar cotton candy and surprise gifts.
The event was well organized by the school event team under the supervision of academic principal. The art teachers showed their artistic skills by displaying colorful and lively posters around the school premises and the PE teachers conducted interesting games for the students. The teachers and the assistant teachers were not behind in contributing their best efforts to train their students for this day.
The program started with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the Saudi National Anthem. Speeches regarding the Children’s Day were delivered by Grade 2 and Grade 6 students which were followed by awesome performances by students from all grade levels.
The tiny tots of Kindergarten, Grade 1 and Grade 2 did the opening of the event and thrilled the audience with their wonderful performances on the evergreen sequential rhythms of ‘It’s a beautiful world/day’, ‘Do Re Mi’, ‘World Cup OLE OLE’, ‘Le Mickey’, ‘Baby Shark’, ‘Head, shoulder, knees and toes’, ‘Crazy frog Song’, ‘Tomato ketchup’, ‘ I am gonna catch you’, ‘A beautiful day’, ‘Let’s Star Jump’, ‘I am a gummy bear’, ‘Celebration’, ‘Top of the world’, ‘Waka waka’, ‘Kung fu’, ‘Dynamic’ and an Arabic Skit. There were cartoon characters like ‘Tom and Hello Kitty’ too who kept the audience and the children entertained all through the program.
Grade 3 danced to the tunes of ‘Who let the smurf out’, ‘Deep deep deep’ and ‘Balle balle’. Grade 4, 5, 6 took the pleasure of presenting a traditional wedding number ‘Lathe di chaddar’.
Last but not the least the list of programs ended with a wonderful and exciting Clown Show. The Clown Show had lot of games like popping the balloon, the ball game, tug of war, and many more.
After the performances the kids continued the celebration and were taken to their respective classes where they enjoyed a good meal with desserts, watched cartoons and took memorable group photographs with their classmates.
The day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervor. The campus was buzzing with excitement and joy as the beautifully dressed-up children participated in various activities organized for them.
