Schneider Electric plays major role in enhancing KSA energy efficiency

THE CEO for Schneider Electric Jean Pascal Tricoire highlighted the role the company plays in enhancing the investments in industrial sectors as well as localizing the supply chain in the kingdom to serve both the national and international markets.

During a media roundtable held on Nov. 20, he shared the scope of the development plans which Schneider Electric aims to execute by 2020 specially in the energy management and renewable energy sectors. He also referred to the major role the company plays in all sectors in the kingdom to enhance energy efficiency in cities and infrastructures in addition to strengthening the diversification of economy through improving manufacturing efficiency and R&D capabilities for sustainable energy technology. Moreover, Schneider Electric is working towards creating concrete investments and development plans for the recently announced mega projects such as NEOM, Red Sea, and Al Qiddya while focusing on the sustainable energy in the new smart cities.

“The participation of Schneider Electric in achieving the 2030 Vision objectives is a form of collaboration we’ve always aimed at to develop the Saudi economy and serve the local market. We are happy to be part of this achievement through supporting the national projects which will enable the local communities. We are also honored to partner with big and strategic local companies with the same goals to support local projects that have a major impact in the industrial sector in the kingdom to achieve the national vision 2030, diversify the economy and localize jobs especially in the industrial sector”, Tricoire said.

Country President of Schneider Electric Najeeb AlNaeem added: “Schneider Electric aims at expanding the scope of local suppliers, transfer the knowledge to national talents in the kingdom and developing work processes in energy management sector, especially with the national development projects which will need new sustainable solutions to operate factories, utilities and houses while developing their infrastructure.” — SG
