IN preparation to the Kingdom’s implementation of the vale-added tax within the Gulf Cooperation Council GCC scheduled to take place in January 2018, Mahmoud Saleh Abbar Company, the exclusive agent for the Japanese Casio Computer Ltd. in the Kingdom, has started to program its electronic points of sales and cashier machines in sales outlets that are subject to the implementation of the Value-add tax for the convenience of its clients.

Fa’iz bin Abri, officer in charge of electronic points of sale and cashier machines at Abbar Company, said: “This step comes based on the company’s keenness to provide the best services to its clients. Casio managed to provide its machines with the programed function of counting such tax, and these machines have been approved in many countries.”

He added that Casio has been available in the Kingdom’s market for 40 years and has distributed over 28,000 money collection machines in the last ten years, being always assiduous to keep up with everything new in the electronic point of sale and cashier machines.

In this regard, Abbar Company recently exhibited the latest electronic points of sale and cashier machines at Foodex Saudi trade exhibition held in Jeddah. The company had participated at Saudi Horeca (Nov. 27-29), of the biggest annual hospitality exhibition in Riyadh. – SG
