JEDDAH — Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), an assembly of Islamic clerics, is a political party in Pakistan with the “F” standing for the name of its leader, Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman which organized a sitting with local representatives of print and electronic media of Pakistan at Mehran restaurant recently.
During the meeting an introduction of the organization’s members and the performance of the past one year was reviewed. The proceedings started with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an by Qari Taj Mohammed Hazarwi. Osman Jilani of Madrassah Abdullah Bin Zubair presented Naat.
Amir JUI-F Jeddah Maulana Mohammad Yousuf Khan Laghari welcomed the guests and gave detailed introduction of the organization and briefed all about the unit’s one-year journey of progress. He also gave a brief lecture on the “Guidance and truth of religion”.
He emphasized the need to strengthen democracy in Pakistan, saying that the stability of democracy is needed to stabilize the media and governing institutions of the nation.
He said in order to solve the problems of the community, the party, people and the media have to work jointly, shoulder to shoulder, to carve out solutions that would be beneficial to the people as well as the nation. He thanked chairman Amir Mohammad Khan and all members of PJF for their constant support.
Sardar Kamran Khan, senior vice ameer JUI-F Jeddah, highlighted the performance and goals for one year. He expressed his gratitude to the leaders of party for being in touch with the workers directly in solving problems.
He said party’s 100 years celebrations on April 7, 2017, in Pakistan Pakhtunkhwa was a grand affair with Imam-e-Kaba Shaikh Salaih Bin Ibraheem, Maulana Fazlur Rehman and many great Ulama-e-karam and people from all over the world participating. The celebration has increased long-term relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
He also spoke about the organization’s social services in Jeddah and said that separate forum has been formed to addressed community’s problems.
Amir Mohammad Khan assured his support and also of other members of PJF for JUI. He said JUI has always been in Pakistan politics, but has been universal in its approach without stressing any color, caste and religion.
The prominent members Maulana Sami ul Haq, Azam Khan, Khan Mohammad, Muhammad Bashir, Maulana Noor ul Haq, Qari Hafeezullah, Karam Shah, Qari Imran and Qari Waqif were among the attendees. Maulana Abdul Karim Hazarwi made supplications. Maulana Mohammad Salim Khan general secretary conduct the proceeding.
