JEDDAH — BISCJ, IISJ and Al-Waha registered contrasting victories In the 3rd week of the SCC/WPCA U-19 Inter-School Cricket Tournament 2017 T20 matches at the WPCA Cricket Complex.

Taha Mehdi’s century went in vain against BISCJ as his side DPA lost by 9 wickets. DPS compiled 195 for 3 wickets. Mehdi completed his century with 9 boundaries in 62 balls, and was supported by Imran (47) and Ahmed (22). Ismail Hussain from BISCJ took 2 for 32. Facing a do or die situation, BISCJ’s openers carved out a partnership of 195 runs. Hussain Absar hammered 109 (11 fours) and Nazmul Hussain scored 74*(8 fours) in BISCJ’s win. Hussain Absar was man of the match.

In a nail-biting encounter, IISJ put it past PISJ-A, winning by 2 runs. IISJ scored 150 for 8, in which, Saad (12), Abdullah (13), Faisal Patel (16), Omar Waseem (32), Zakaria (17) and Waleed (16) contributed. Mohammad Shehzad took 3 for 19 and Abdullah Rizwan 2 for 20. Also PISJ-A got three run-outs from their superb fielding. PISJ-A managed to reach 148 for six, in which, Mohammad Shehzad (18), Abdullah Rizwan (45), A. Amjad (19) and Daniel (32) were the main scorers. IISJ’s Khalid and Saad captured 2 wickets each for 26 and 19 runs respectively. Omar Waseem was man of the match.

Al-Waha defeated New Al-Warood by 7 wickets. New Al-Warood compiled 105 for 8, in which, Jewel (42) and Wajid (10) were the main scorers. Sameer returned flattering figures of 4-10 and Shaheen took 2 wickets. Al-Waha crossed the target losing 3 wickets, in which Shaheen scored 75 (16 fours). Anees from New Al-Warood took 3 for 37.
