Saudi Gazette report

CAIRO – Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir lauded the international consensus rejecting US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and relocate the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

In his speech at the emergency session of Arab League foreign ministers in Cairo on Saturday night to discuss the status of Al-Quds, Al-Jubeir called on the US Administration to reverse its decision on Jerusalem (Al-Quds).

Al-Jubeir said that the Kingdom had warned that any announcement before reaching a final settlement is a provocation for Muslims and jeopardizes the peace process.

Al-Jubeir deemed “the Arab Peace Initiative” a roadmap for settling the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

He also called on the international community to “intensify efforts to reach a just and comprehensive solution” to this conflict.
