Saudi Gazette report

Riyadh -- Saudi culture and heritage are the best tools to counter the stereotype image of the Kingdom projected by the biased Western media aboard, said Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Awwad Al-Awwad here on Sunday.

He was speaking at the annual meeting of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) where he was invited as chief guest by SCTH president Prince Sultan bin Salman.

Prince Sultan praised the minister and highlighted the activities of the SCTH and partnership with the Ministry of Culture and Information.

Al-Awwad said the establishment of the Center for International Communication was one of the most important pillars to deal professionally with the international media as a Saudi link.

The aim of the Center for International Communication is to be constantly and actively involved with the most important regional and international media, the minister stated.
