— League-leading Lance & 3rdy served notice of a potential title run after another strong performance and a second Team of the Week award during the seventh session in the FTBJ-ICBL 39th Conference Bowling Tournament at the Sultanah Mall’s Bowling City on Tahlia Street here.

Lance accelerated after a tame first game to post the first-place points of 11 in the last two games and overall output, as it returned the top tally of 41 points.

TSI (The Synergy International) Bowlers, the only other outfit to repeat thus far as Team of the Week, were four points back on 37 followed by Ekis Reload 34, Dabarkads 29 and Crime Buster 26.

FGS Bowlers compiled 24 points in front of Mixed Nuts 23, while JP Gilas IV, Cash Pinas-Fawri and Bowling City carded 17, 15 and 14 in that order.

Shirley Sagmit made it a Lance double when she clinched her second ladies Bowler of the Week accolade on 636 on scratch games of 136, 255 and 170. Winning the same award on the men’s side was Nezar Al Hamwe of Jeraisah who drilled 700 on lines of 243, 224 and 233 in the five-man team league event sponsored by Harvest Coconut Water juice drink distributed by Binzagr Co.

Joey Calapatia and Pancho Cuevas both bowled solid to support Sagmit on 600 and 597, while Evelyn Santoc added 537 from the distaff side. June Estefano contributed 184-195 and Ric Reformado tallied 196 at Lance & 3rdy.

TSI had Shams Mustafa leading the way on 615 with strong support from Rozana who rolled 583 pinfalls. Grace Funtilon at 482 was the other TSI player to complete three games, while Azizan Abdul Aziz shared 191-182, Tariq Antonio 195-186 and Abdul Rashid 183.

Ekis Faisal Relativo took charge on 601. Zaldy Bacero shot 583, while the ladies pair of Malu Relativo and Alma Bacero came through with 556 and 544. Emil Payongayong and George Mangaliman shared three games on 178-199 and 191.

For Dabarkads, Nathy Caringal was the top scorer on 578 that went with contributions from Leo Edejer 555, Bing Amolo 554, Cheryl Tibay 541 and Rudy Valenzuela 530.

May Lourdes was among the bowlers to crack the 600 series on 614, while leading the Crime Buster that also drew 536 from Lito Zamudio, 477 from Babes Yushimie, 170-160 from Jaime Reunoso, 174-144 from Macky Mohamad and 162-209 from Roger Daquioag.
