Pak envoy meets Saudi education minister

RIYADH — Pakistan Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Khan Hasham Bin Saddique called on Dr. Ahmed Al-Essa, Minister for Education, at his office in Riyadh recently.

Arshad Munir consular (press) at Consulate General Pakistan Jeddah said, “The Ambassador conveyed the best wishes of the government and people of Pakistan for the continued success and prosperity of the leadership and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

The statement further said that the ambassador discussed with the minister matters related to education of Pakistani expatriates in the Kingdom. He informed the minister about the projects of construction of purpose-built Pakistani school buildings in Dammam and Riyadh. He requested Dr. Ahmed Al-Essa for facilitation in early completion of these projects. The minister appreciated both the initiatives and assured his full support.

Munir said the ambassador and the minister also discussed student’s educational cum cultural exchange program between the two countries.

Al-Essa said the Saudi govt has already reserved scholarship quota for Pakistani students in the undergraduate educational programs in various universities of the Kingdom. The minister assured that through higher education, students educational and cultural exchange programs can be initiated which would help the students of the two countries to benefit from respective educational opportunities.

The ambassador thanked the minister for receiving him in his office and expressed hope for promoting collaboration in the field of education between the two countries. — SG
