December 25, 2017

RIYADH — Established in the United Kingdom in 2009 and famous for its handmade Belgian Liège waffles, Wafflemeister has just opened a flagship store in the Middle East in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Having spread its natural fun flavors around the world, with retail units in UK, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, Wafflemeister now comes to Tahlia Street, Riyadh, with a new all day brunch & dessert menu.

The region’s largest Wafflemeister flagship store combines the world’s best sweet and savory waffles with crêpes, thick shakes, gelatos, sundaes, desserts, gourmet coffees, freshly squeezed juices, frappes and smoothies — making it an ideal location for breakfast, lunch, dinner or dessert in a fun, casual setting.

“The Wafflemeister story is fascinating in terms of its vision, business model and growth strategy,” explained Younes Skaini, CEO of Mint Trading Partners, the holding company for Wafflemeister in the Middle East. “The brand is modeled on a hybrid Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) and quick casual dining concept, focusing on best service, quality and consistency as its key components, while bringing the best waffles to everyone.”

Wafflemeister is the brainchild of Alexander Troullier who owns the secret waffle recipe that dates back to the mid-1950s. His vision was to create a brand that could own the Waffle space so whenever anyone would think of waffles or crepes they would immediately think of ‘Wafflemeister’. He built the brand on the belief that everyone deserves a place where they can enjoy fresh, authentic, handmade waffles in a timeless fun environment committed to using high quality natural ingredients.

Alexandre Troullier, Wafflemeister founder and CEO said, “I am very excited we are bringing Wafflemeister to the world renowned Tahlia Street. If I was there right now, I would be joining in the all the fun to be had whilst enjoying a fantastic freshly baked warm waffle.”
