DAMMAM — The General Court in Riyadh repealed a condition for women to appear in the court with their faces covered but they are still expected to conform to the Islamic hijab rules.

The head of the court had put up signs on the court premises asking women to cover their faces when they enter the courtrooms. He had taken the action after seeing many instances of female litigants appearing in the court wearing “indecent clothing”. The court repealed the condition for women to cover their faces but they are still required to dress appropriately and decently.
