Saudi Gazette report

RIYADH – The Ministry of Labor and Social Development will start implementing Saudization of four major sectors in Al-Baha region from April 17 (Shaban 1).

Khaled Aba Al-Khail, spokesman of the ministry, said that these sectors include electrical and electronic shops, automobile agencies and showrooms, shops for the sale of automobile spare parts, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Monday.

This is part of the Saudization program called “Guided Localization,” which the ministry started implementing last year.

The ministry has chosen Al-Baha region to implement this program. Al-Baha Emir Prince Hossam Bin Saud and Minister of Labor and Social Development Ali Al Ghafis earlier signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to launch the ‘Guided Localization’ program in the region in order to increase the participation of Saudis in the labor market.

Al-Khail said Saudis will be provided with training and financial support to take up jobs in these sectors.
