Conference reiterates solidarity with Ahwaz people

Brussels — A conference under the motto “Together to Counter Iranian-sponsored Terrorism” began here on Saturday with the participation of hundreds of members of the Ahwaz community residing in European Union member states, Arab communities, Islamic and foreign political, intellectual and media figures.

Speakers stressed the need to address the aggressive behavior of the Iranian regime in the region and repressive practices toward the people of Ahwaz in particular and the Iranian people in general.

Head of the Arab Struggle for Liberation Movement of Ahwaz Habib Jabbr expressed solidarity with the Ahwaz people in the face of systematic repression by the Iranian regime and brutal practices.

He called for strengthening solidarity and help enforce the legitimate rights of the people of Ahwaz.

President of the Syrian National Congress George Sabra reiterated solidarity of the Syrian people with the struggle of the people of Al-Ahwaz and those oppressed by the Iranian regime.

Secretary General of the Arab-Islamic Council in Lebanon Sheikh Ahmed Ali Hussein stressed solidarity with the people of Ahwaz and the need to address the sectarian agenda that the Iranian regime has adopted as an approach and a method to destabilize the security and safety of the Middle East.

Several speakers also called on the international community and the European Union to confront the activities of the Iranian regime that threaten peace and stability in the region. — Agencies
