INTERNATIONAL Indian School, Riyadh (IISR) extends its heartiest congratulations to the Indian community in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the occasion of the 69th Republic Day of India.

IISR is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, consisting of around 8,500 students and 500 staff in both boys and girls sections. It is well-equipped with laboratories for physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, mathematics and home science, in addition to five full-fledged computer labs with multimedia facilities.

The school campus is covered by an excellent WIFI system and has a well informed and updated website. Recently, the school introduced the Online Web Portal and has given individual password to each student.

The school records not only 95% plus result at the Senior Secondary Examinations but also provides complete Health Care and First Aid facilities in all sections. It also boasts of its students participating at national level for sprinting, badminton and table tennis as special coaches impart them with coaching with the school providing all requisite facilities. A vast library with good stock of books and periodicals is another feather in IISR’s cap.

In addition to Special Coaching Programs for improving the performance of the students are held regularly, Career Counseling Programs are also conducted every year by prestigious universities from India and abroad. Moreover, the school organizes various workshops for teachers by renowned resource persons.

In the last academic year, Principal and Head of the Institution Dr. S. M. Shaukat Perwez was honored with the coveted President’s Award for the Best Teacher, 2016. Besides, the Principal & HOI, Principal In Charge Girls Mrs. Asma Shah and Vice Principal Mrs. Meera Rahman were awarded with Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Himakshara Award for Best Principals and Vice Principals respectively.
