130 women sent abroad for training: TVTC

JEDDAH — The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) said it had sent 130 Saudi women to study abroad on its external scholarships program.

TVTC's External Scholarship Program Director Bandar Al-Saadon said 110 of the students have already graduated while 20 students are still completing their studies abroad.

"The total number of students, men and women, in the program has reached 1,800 since its launch. Our students study in 11 different countries. Currently 150 students are still studying on the program," said Al-Saadon.

He added scholarships are given to students of all the programs the corporation offered including beauty and care, fashion design, accounting, computer science and library management.

"The most popular destinations of our scholarship students are the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, South Korea and Canada," said Al-Saadon.
