Keen T20 encounters in Madinah

MADINAH — The SCC T20 Champions league, sponsored by Saudi Cricket Centre, kicked off here with keen contests.

MCH posted 200/7 against Madinah Strikers in their 20 overs with Asif (87), Younus (27) and Tauseef (25) leading the way. Sohail Khan took a hat trick in his 5 wickets haul. In reply, Madinah Strikers then fell 54 short in their chase. Sohail scored 38. Tauseef took 3 wickets and Mehraj and Rafaqat taking 2 wickets each.

Pak Punjab posted a mammoth 250 runs courtesy Faisal, who scored 189 not out off 74 deliveries which included 14 sixes, and Razzaq who made 31. Khurram 2 wickets for PRCC, who lost by 136 runs. Shaheen scored 25 and Ajmal 23 in PRCC’s tally of 114. Rashid, Bakr and Tauseef took 2 wickets each.

MBC Star’s Zahid smashed 108 off 57 balls and Badal scored 37 to propel their side to 242/7. Suman, Shareef and Ayyub took two wickets each.

In reply, Madinah Warriors were skittled for 55 runs. Bopi took three wickets and Badal took 2 wickets in the 187 runs victory.

Lahore Badshah posted a mere 139 with Zahid contributing 32 and Fahad scoring 20. Shoaib and Imran took 2 wickets each. Pak Kashmir won by 8 wickets with Amir (63) and Mansoor (46) standing out. Ameen and Sajjad took a wicket each.

U19s posted 122 with Abdullah scoring a brilliant 71 and Taha making 29. Javed took three wickets. In reply, Taiba won by 8 wickets with Barkat scoring 45 and Omer Suhail (27). Saad took 2 wickets.

Evergreen scored 179 with Hammad blasting 63 runs alongside Khadim, who scored 33. Nasir Khan took three wickets. In reply, UCC fell 20 runs short with Khurram scoring a fighting 44 runs. Rafiq took 3 wickets and Khalid got 2.
