AHSA
— King Faisal University in Al-Ahsa has contracted a tow truck company to remove any vehicle parked on the campus in violation of parking regulations.

Professor Mutlaq Al-Otaibi, dean of the university, said students commit numerous violations in the institution's car park and therefore the university administration decided to contract a local company to tow away any vehicle found to be violating the parking regulations.

"We will implement this project by removing the vehicles and keeping them in custody in a specific area by Gate 6. The purpose of this project is to teach students to abide by the law and respect the traffic regulations," said Al-Otaibi.

He also said he was looking forward to the university campus to becoming an ideal place in respecting traffic regulations. "The university has built multiple parking lots at a cost of more than SR150 million and they can accommodate more than 2,500 vehicles," he said.

General Supervisor of the Department of Safety and Security Nasser Al-Marri said no vehicle would be removed until the parking violation was documented to avoid any problems with the car owner.

"The vehicle will be removed using advanced methods that will not cause any damage to it. The impounded vehicle will be released only after the payment of a SR150 fine," said Al-Marri.
