JEDDAH — The consulate general of Kuwait here hosted on Sunday night a celebratory ceremony marking Kuwait’s 57th National Day and the 27th anniversary of its liberation, in the presence of Saudi senior officials and diplomats.
Guest of honor Ambassador Jamal Bhalkoyour of Saudi Foreign Ministry and other officials, businessmen, academics, diplomats, and media figures, as well as representatives of the Kuwait society, attended the ceremony.
Kuwaiti Consul General Wael Al-Enezi, in his speech, addressed his best wishes to the government of Kuwait and its people. He paid tribute to the Kuwaiti people’s longstanding national unity.
He said that celebrating Kuwait’s National Days in Saudi Arabia reflects the strong fraternal bonds between the Saudi, Kuwaiti governments, and people.
He praised the fraternal amity, solidarity, and cohesion between the two leaderships and people, wishing the two countries lasting security and safety under both wise leadership.
He took the opportunity to express Kuwait’s desire to further solidify relations with Saudi Arabia led by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, affirming that the Kingdom always stood on the side of Kuwait during joyous occasions and darkest hours.
