JEDDAH — Indian Engineers Forum, Jeddah Chapter conducted four days session course on Microsoft Excel at the premises of Dallah Cool. The training was held to refresh and enhance the IT skills of trainees while using Microsoft Excel, which focused on how to import and analyse data for improved decision-making and also improving data analysing and data management skills.
Ashraf N Qureshi, senior civil engineer and Microsoft Office specialist from PBAD, trained engineers on Microsoft Office Excel. The training was attended by Saudi and Indian engineers.
The trainees were made aware on how to use Excel proficiently which will help them improve their efficiency in the workplace. They are now confident on how to create detailed worksheets, invoices, charts, and complex formulas in order to achieve professional results in a fraction of time.
After completion of four days of sessions, certificates of attendance were distributed at the event. Mohammed Mansour, regional manager Dallah Cool who attended the event as chief guest, Khursheed Usmani, former executive member of IEF Jeddah Chapter attended as guest of honor, while Syed Fazal ul Haque, vice president IEF Jeddah chapter, presided over the function.
Mansour, in his address, appreciated the activities of Indian Engineers Forum for conducting different courses, which are beneficial for the Saudi and Indian youth. He extended his continuous help towards the ongoing activities in IEF.
Fazal ul Haque said, “We feel great pleasure in providing such courses to the youth where they have scope to upgrade themselves in their work area.” He also said, “Shortly we are going to plan and organize our annual event with technical seminars which may help our engineers.”
Usmani, one of the founding members, said, “It was great pleasure to see that IEF has grown to the height which we had dreamed it will reach.”
Syed Nasir Khursheed said that in continuation of these training courses we are going to conduct training course on Primavera with the help of Aijaz Hussain, senior trainer.
Qureshi advised attendees to benefit from the course by implementing what they had learned in order to upgraded their skills at their work place.
The program started with recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an by Nooruddin Khan, welcome speech was delivered by Vice President Mustafa Khan and the program was well conducted by Shoebuddin, IEF chief coordinator.
The program concluded with the vote of thanks by Syed Mansoor, chairman electrical subcommittee, who profoundly thanked distinguished guests for attending the event and Qureshi, specifically, for taking out precious time to train fellow Saudi and Indian engineers. — SG
