During my childhood I was obsessed with reading the biographies of well-known and inspirational figures who contributed to building human civilization. The process of writing about such iconic figures is very difficult because the writer is expected to dive into the depths of humanity to bring to light events and facts that may not be known to the general public.
Regardless of their achievements, such inspirational men and women are human beings and not superheroes even though we may like to think that they are.
The one thing that sets these people apart is that they fought all the hardships that life threw in their direction head on and with everything they had. Many went through poverty, pain and personal strife but overcame these hardships and were able to make their dreams come true.
The stories about the struggles of such people are not just fairytales or adventures but reflect the turning points in human civilization that embody the true meaning of ambition and rebellion. These people kept fighting because they believed in themselves and eventually their names were immortalized in the annals of human history.
Having obstacles at the beginning of the road is the real starting point to achieving goals. These iconic figures faced obstacles in the early stages of their lives. However, they relied upon their confidence and stubbornness instead of thinking negatively. They did not achieve their goals easily; they had many failures in their lives before achieving success.
Such people deserve our respect since they are the ones who opened the doors of opportunities for all of us.
