City council representatives visit Taif village to study people’s complaints

TAIF — The city council and the municipality of Taif have jointly responded to complaints by the people of Rumaidah village, which lacks basic infrastructure. The only school in the village provides on elementary education.

The city council formed a joint committee with representatives from the council and the municipality. The committee is comprised of the council’s deputy chairman Majed Al-Nufaie, head of projects Hilal Al-Zahrani, land and properties supervisor Fahd Al-Shihry, and head of services and healthcare Khalid Al-Thaqafi. It also included Chairman of Taif Municipality Thamer Al-Malki, head of projects management Fahd Al-Quthami, and services manager Mishaal Al-Thumali.

The committee visited the village, located east of Taif governorate, in person to listen to the complaints of the citizens and residents. The people called for upgrading the village’s school, which currently admits only pupils up to the sixth grade.

The village has a number of rundown neighborhoods and uneven roads that have caused many accidents. The people also demanded better infrastructure and civic services such as a health center, electricity and water services, telecommunication towers, Civil Defense and Red Crescent outposts and a police station.
