2.4 million passengers flew on Saudia in February

SAUDI Arabian Airlines reported it has transported more than 2.4 million passengers within the month of February. Its reports also show that the month of February of 2018 had 8 percent more passengers than the month of February of 2017. The total number of passengers on Saudi Airlines since the beginning of the year reached 5.4 million.

There has been a total of 16,000 flights in the month of February, a 4.6 percent increase in comparison to the previous year. 9,500 of the flights were scheduled internal flights while 586 of the flights were scheduled international flights. 3,800 of the flights departed from King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and 3,725 of the flights departed from King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.

The total number of flights conducted in January and February reached 34,045 flights. 20,000 of the flights were scheduled internal flights and 12,640 were scheduled international flights and more than 1,400 of the flights were unscheduled flights.

The number of people who completed their bookings through the airlines’ application during the month of February of 2018 is 51 percent more than the number of people who did the same thing during the month of February 2017. — SG
