Crown Prince Muhammad receives representatives of five Security Council Permanent Members

Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, met in New York on Friday with the five permanent members of the Security Council, including French representative Francois Delattre; US representative Nikki Haley; Russian representative Vasily Nebenzya; Chinese representative Ma Zhaoxu and British deputy permanent representative Jonathan Allen, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported Friday.

During the meeting, they discussed the general situations in the Middle East, including the latest developments in the Yemeni crisis and Iranian-backed Houthi violations.

For his part, the Crown Prince affirmed to the representatives of the major countries the need for the UN Security Council to assume its responsibility in this regard, in addition to the need to respect international treaties, conventions and law and the United Nations Convention, asserting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to the UN Charter and the great bilateral cooperation.

The meeting was attended by Prince Khalid Bin Salman, Saudi ambassador to the United States; Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir; and the Kingdom’s permanent representative to the United Nations Ambassador Abdullah Al-Mouallimi.

Crown Prince receives Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan executives

Crown Prince Muhammad met separately here on Thursday Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Morgan Stanley, James Gorman, and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of JPMorgan, Jamie Dimon, SPA said Friday.

During the meetings, views on services provided by the two banks to the Kingdom in addition to opportunities of cooperation and strategic partnership were discussed. The two meetings were attended by Prince Khalid Bin Salman, Saudi ambassador to the United States, and a number of officials. — SPA
