Milvin George Managing Director Middle East and India Officine Panerai spoke to Saudi Gazette and said: ”Participating in Jewellery Salon gives more opportunity for brand awareness and to meet with collectors. Saudi market is a large market and we are here to communicate with our customers in Saudi Arabia. Sometimes we also participate with other brands like Maserati as co-marketing to meet with more clients. It is an opportunity to bring us closer to our clientele and allow us to further express our commitment to the culture of fine watchmaking in the region”

Officine Panerai have 70 boutiques worldwide 40 of which are directly managed and run by the company and in some markets it is more beneficial to run the boutiques via retailers”

On Officine Panerai presence in the Kingdom, George pointed out that Saudi Arabia is a strategic market for Officine Panerai within the region and holds a special significance because of its dynamic consumer canvas. “It is important for us to maintain a strong presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

George revealed that as a luxury and unique brand, Officine Panerai marketing and promoting their watches is based on word of mouth of their clients.

On how the experience in watchmaking is transmitted George said that a school is going in line with the manufacturing to always teach new personnel on watch making.

Officine Panerai’ boutiques are in Tahlia Street in Jeddah, Mohammad Bin Abdul Aziz street in Riyadh and Al Rashid Mall in Al-Khobar.

“The most interesting feature in Jewellery Salon is the rich selection of products. In this exhibition we will introduce all Panerai enthusiasts to new watches. These have been designed and crafted to demonstrate how the brand interprets the relationship with its own history, while remaining contemporary and suitable for the distinct tastes and personalities of our Saudi customers, without compromising its distinctive and strong identity.

“Each of our timepieces has a strong history behind it with a unique & clean Italian design. I am proud to claim that today each Panerai watch is produced at the company’s Manufacturing Facility in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. We produce, design and develop the movements and cases for our watches in-house. All our products revolve around the brand’s core principles – exclusive design and technical excellence- proving Panerai as a high-end sport watch brand characterized by melding Italian design flair with Swiss horological expertise.” George said
