Cityscape Egypt '18 logs record number of visitors

CAIRO — The 7th edition of Cityscape Egypt 2018 successfully concluded recently, with record-breaking number of visitors in the largest event in the show’s history.

The four days show was held in a new venue at Egypt International Exhibition Center (EIEC) and it witnessed more than 70 exhibitors who, with eight percent increase in visitor numbers compared to last year, and also an increase exhibition space by 25 percent, the a leading real estate developers displayed many projects from their latest with special promotions attractive discounts and payment offers for the visitors for both residential and vocational projects.

Egyptian Minister of Housing Moustafa Madbouly who had inaugurated the 7th edition said that Cityscape Egypt reflects the strength of the real estate sector in Egypt and illustrates the trust that investors have in the sector.

He said “the Egyptian real estate sector is one of the largest and most influential sectors and enables investors to draw on a wealth of opportunities with high returns from a ballooning population. This will contribute towards the strength of the market as well as attracting local and international investors. The participation of real estate developers showing projects from the New Administrative Capital makes Cityscape one of the most distinguished events.”

The units start from studios to stand-alone villas, the majority of the units are in privet and luxurious compounds, they also showcased complete neighborhoods with lifestyle and community living, with complete retail facilities with entertainment, educational, healthcare and commercial facilities.

Chris Speller, Exhibition Director at Cityscape Egypt, said “we have witnessed how real estate continues to be a mainstay for Egypt’s population as visitors have responded positively to exhibitors new and existing mega-projects.”

Hussein Shoukry, SODIC’s Senior Development Manager, said the company is also showing their Forty West project.

“The project is a mixed-use complex situated at the center of SODIC West. When completed, it will include upward of 80,000 square-meters of retail, commercial, entertainment, leisure, and residential segments, organized around a series of courtyards and plazas. Throughout the complex is an intricate network of gardens, pedestrian paths and vehicular roadways that open into a large public piazza, which will anchor the southeast corner of the project,” he said.

Tabarak Development is showcasing its 90 Avenue project – with phase one expected to be completed this year – in New Cairo. In addition, the developer will also reveal its Capital East Residence in Nasr City, which is on offer at the show.

Ali El Shorbany, Tabarak Development’s CEO and chairman, said they were excited to participate at this year’s Cityscape Egypt. “Due to the continuous growth of real estate investment and the rising competition among many investors, real estate exhibitions have become an effective medium of communication between investors and customers.”

Amin Serag, CEO of Hyde Park Developments, said Cityscape Egypt is one of the most influential events in the region and it was a natural decision to participate.

“2018 is the year of investment and expansion for us,” he said. “We have announced the launch of the latest phase of our project, the units of Hyde Park Business District New Cairo, which has a total investment value of EGP 6 Billion,” said Serag.
