GCA ties up with Rotana to hold 100 cultural events

RIYADH – The General Culture Authority (GCA) will organize around 100 diverse cultural events across the Kingdom.

GCA signed on Monday an agreement with Rotana Audiovisual Company in this regard, according to Turki Al-Asheikh, member of the board of directors of GCA and chairman of the technical committee at the authority. Al-Asheikh represented GCA in signing the agreement while Rotana was represented by its CEO Salem Al-Hindi.

According to a GCA statement, more than 80 artists from Saudi Arabia as well as from the Arab and other parts of the world will participate in these events.

A number of prominent poets from the Kingdom and the Arab world will also attend.

Al-Asheikh thanked Awwad Al-Awwad, minister of culture and information and chairman of GCA, for his support and keenness in organizing programs and presenting them to the Saudi society in an appropriate manner. -- SG/SPA
