Four Seasons continues expansion across MENA

April 24, 2018

CELEBRATING the 25th anniversary of Arabian Travel Market 2018 with its strongest presence at the international travel and tourism event to date, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts continues to expand in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) as the leading luxury hospitality brand introduces new hotels in the GCC and beyond.

In the latter half of 2017, the first Four Seasons addresses in Kuwait and Tunisia opened their doors – Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait at Burj Alshaya, a beautifully-designed hotel that has rapidly become the stylish centerpiece of the city, and Four Seasons Hotel Tunis, a sanctuary of modern luxury on the Mediterranean shore of the capital. These spectacular additions to the Four Seasons collection across the region bring the brand’s total number of MENA hotels to 17, which will rise to 18 following the recent announcement of plans for a second property in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

“Since Four Seasons arrived in the Middle East in 2000 with our first hotel in Cairo, we have always understood the abundant opportunities this region presents. I’m proud to say this year has been a very strong one for us and we are confident this trajectory will carry forward into next year as we actively explore opportunities in the pipeline. We focus our interest on destinations where Four Seasons guests want to travel, and from this perspective we believe this region is home to a wide variety of locations that hold great potential for our brand,” said Simon Casson, President, Hotel Operations – Europe, Middle East and Africa.

As well as welcoming new hotels, established Four Seasons properties across the region are developing fresh offerings designed to provide the very best luxury experiences and personalized service for guests. Transforming from an urban resort to a complete island resort, Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay is set to unveil The Four Seasons Beach this summer, a 160-metre expanse of pristine white sand curving around the private island’s southern shore.

For adventure-seekers, Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh is inviting guests to book an Extraordinary Experience to the Edge of the World, offering unparalleled access to the magnificent natural wonder that rises deep in the Arabian Desert. In Dubai, Four Seasons Hotel DIFC has launched MINA Brasserie in partnership with celebrated Chef Michael Mina, a lively and sophisticated brasserie featuring an expansive terrace located in the heart of the city’s coveted hotspot for fine dining.

“When we look at the strengths of our portfolio in the Middle East and North Africa, it is characterized not only by ongoing expansion but also by the leading position of our existing properties that have firmly established themselves as destinations within destinations,” added Simon Casson. “Testament to our strength is our trio of addresses in the UAE in Jumeirah Beach, DIFC and Al Maryah Island. Uniquely reflective of their particular locations and yet distinctly Four Seasons, these properties have become synonymous with the very best in luxury hospitality.” — SG
