King Salman arrives in Jeddah

Jeddah — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman arrived in Jeddah from Riyadh on Sunday.

The King was received at King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah by Makkah Emir and adviser to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Jeddah Governor Prince Mishal Bin Majed, Minister of Interior Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Saud Bin Naif, Deputy Emir of Makkah Prince Abdullah Bin Bandar Bin Abdul Aziz among others.

Earlier, the King was seen off at King Salman Air Base Airport in Riyadh by Emir of Riyadh region Prince Faisal Bin Bandar Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Emir of Riyadh region Prince Muhammad Bin Abdulrahman Bin Abdul Aziz, a number of princes, ministers, and senior officials.

King Salman receives WHO director general

King Salman received at his palace in Riyadh on Sunday Director General of the World Health Organization Dr. Tedros Adhanom.

During the meeting, aspects of cooperation between the Kingdom and the World Health Organization were reviewed.

The audience was attended by Minister of State and Cabinet member Dr. Musaed Al-Aiban, Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir, and a number of officials of the World Health Organization.

On Saturday evening, King Salman officially launched Qiddiya, the entertainment, sports and cultural destination that will be the first of its kind in the Kingdom.

The King placed the last baton of the Qiddiya logo, triggering a spectacular firework show that lit up the sky outside the capital and dramatically illuminated the Tuwaiq Mountain cliffs overlooking the site.

Spanning an area of 334 square kilometers, the new destination is just 40 kilometers west of the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
