RIYADH — Halqa-e-Fikr-O-Funn (HFF) & Knowledge Core Academy (KC), in collaboration with the Embassy of Pakistan, jointly launched a newly published book “Khushbo ke Jhonkay” written by Dr. Muhammad Riaz Chauhdary at the Embassy’s chancery hall.
The program was presided over by the Chargé d’Affaires Sardar Muhammad Khattak, representing Ambassador Khan Hasham bin Saddique. The writer / President HFF Dr. Muhammad Riaz Chauhdary was the chief guest and Patron in Chief of KC Shahzad Aalam Siddique was the guest of honor.
Head of Chancery Saifullah Khan formally began the program with his words of introduction about the event and invited Dr. Mahmood Ahmed Bajwa for the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an followed by a Naat presented by Asghar Chishti.
Waqar Wamiq in his welcome note explained the importance of books and mentioned that books help us gain knowledge and wisdom. He presented a brief introduction of the author and his newly published book “Khushbo ke Jhonkay”.
Khattak formally launched the book in a short but elegant ceremony in the presence of people from all walks of the life present at the chancery hall.
Khattak congratulated the author and commended his effort. “Writers play an important role in the development of the society and are our assets. It is important to recognize their creative works. Our history shows that Pakistan has produced several world-class writers. On this occasion, I congratulate Dr. Riaz Chaudhry on the publication of his book,” he said.
Prof. Dr. Nadeem Ahmed Bhatti, Prof. Zaid Murtaza Malik, Muhammad Khalid Rana and Hafiz Abdul Waheed spoke about the author and his book during their speeches and lauded his great effort.
“Dr. Muhammad Riaz Chauhdary is amongst the most senior peoples of the Pakistani community in Riyadh. He is known for his love for books as he served the biggest library of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia — King Fahd National Library — for many years, from where he retired as a senior librarian.
“The author has simplified his topics in such a unique style of writing that a common reader can easily understands his point of view. His book reflects some important literary & social articles and is a great memoir of HFF news reports and events,” they added.
Chaudhary thanked the distinguished guests and the speakers, stating, “It is a great honor for me to speak today on the launch of my book in front of such notable dignitaries and peoples. It was my utmost desire to collect all my articles and some of the memoirs in a book. I did my effort and now I hope you will enjoy reading my book,” he said.
Chauhdary and Shahzad Aalam Siddique were awarded with the shields in recognition of their literary and educational services respectively. Amin Tajir delivered the vote of thanks, the program ended on the prayer offered by Muhammad Asif Qureshi.
