Houthi fired missile falls in Jazan desert

A Houthi-fired ballistic missile fell in an uninhabited desert in Jazan on Monday.

Col. Turki Al-Malki, spokesman of the Coalition to restore legitimacy in Yemen, said that at 10.18 a.m. the Saudi Royal Air Force spotted the missile launched by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia from the Yemeni territory of Saada region towards the city of Jazan.

No casualty or damage was reported in the incident.

Al-Malki said that the missile was deliberately targeting populated civilian areas in Jazan city.

“This hostile action by the Houthi militia proves the Iranian regime’s continued involvement in supporting the armed group in clear and explicit defiance of the UN resolutions with the aim of threatening the security of Saudi Arabia, the region and the world.”

Meanwhile, the Isnad Center for Comprehensive Humanitarian Operations in Yemen held a workshop in Riyadh on Monday to discuss the latest developments of implementing Isnad plan in the war-torn country.

Muhammad Al-Jabir, ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Yemen and executive director of Isnad; Col. Turki Al-Malki, spokesman of the coalition; KSRelief official Nasser Al-Subaie, several ambassadors accredited to Yemen, officials of the United Nations and NGOs attended the workshop.

The meeting was briefed on the humanitarian initiatives of KSRelief, and the Coalition in Yemen.
