BMC Alumni celebrates 2nd reunion day

JEDDAH — Batterjee Medical College (BMC) Alumni celebrated their 2nd reunion day in a colorful manner at BMC campus on Saturday. The event was attended by numerous distinguished Alumni, who shared their success stories with their colleagues.

“I am very proud to inform you of the very, very successful event that took place today,” said Dr. Ikhlas Abdulaziz Sindi, vice dean of female section BMC, while talking to Saudi Gazette exclusively about the event. She also shared with the BMC Alumni the latest updates such as accreditation, respiratory therapy program, scholarship and financial awards, clubs and Alumni participation in the college.

She reiterated BMC’s mission to contribute significantly to society through unsurpassed medical education, community service, and research while maintaining Islamic values and vision that to become a world renown benchmark of innovative and excellent medical education.

Dr. Omar Ismail, a physical therapy graduate and currently the vice director of physical therapy department at King Abdullah Complex, gave tips on success in finding a job.

Also, a remarkable session was given by Dr. Mohmmed Allehiani, a dentistry Alumnus and currently a resident dentist in Taif Military Hospital. A research story session was given by Mohmmed Alnazawi, a medicine Alumnus and currently a surgery resident at IMC.

External speakers shared their knowledge and experience with BMC Alumni were Dr. Taghreed Al-Sarag, a best selling Saudi author, an international public speaker, and an entrepreneurship mentor gave a talk entitled “Graduates.... What Next”.

Eng. Fahad Khan, a passionate HR leader and director in a leading Saudi regional company gave a speech entitled, “Positive Thoughts in Work Environment”. Dr. Ahmed Hamam, the director of a biotech company, gave a talk about his experience of hiring BMC pharmacy graduates.
