Khadija Al-Wadie said her brother Mohammad Al-Wadie was left in the intensive care unit for months without any proper care.
Salih Al-Wadie said his brother became paralyzed after he got into a road accident.
“My brother also has diabetes. He was supposed be treated for his injuries but was abandoned and his chronic illness developed ulcer throughout his body. We requested for him to be transferred to another hospital that can treat his condition but the hospital staff was uncooperative and negligent,” said Al-Wadie.
He added the Minister of Health Tawfiq Al-Rabiah visited the hospital and viewed his brother’s condition.
“We gave him my brother’s medical file and he promised he will do something about it. Two weeks have passed and nothing happened. They never even contacted us to check up on my brother,” said Al-Wadie.
The deputy head of Al-Hussain Wadiah Tribe Mohammad Bin Ali came to the hospital with a large number of tribe members. They donated SR44,000 to help with the patient’s medical expenses.
