DAMMAM — SB XI, Tamimi and Friends emerged winners in the SCC T20 Challenge Cup 2017-18, sponsored by Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC) and organized by Eastern Province Cricket Association (EPCA) recently.

Premier Division

Sikander Bhai XI CC defeated Honda CC by 8 wickets for the Premier title. Batting first, HCC posted 76 in 20 overs. Raheel provided a perfect start to SB XI by grabbing 2 wickets in his first over. Raheel, Nazim and Kashif grabbed 3 wickets each. In reply, SB XI chased the target in 8.4 overs. Munawar gave SB XI a good start, scoring 23 off 20. After the fall of Munawar, Abdul Rauf took the responsibility. He scored 30 off 15. Bilal fought lonely for Honda and grabbed 2-33.

Prime Division

Tamimi CC won against Bin Delamah Yorkers CC by 12 runs to claim honors in Prime Division. Batting first, TCC scored 178. Umer Khadim blasted 78 off 48 and Kamran Shah 45 off 36. Renjith grabbed 3 wickets and Ghulam 2. In reply, BDYCC managed 167. Waseem Malik smashed 63 off 48 and Syed bilal 26 off 19. Kamran Shah, Kamran Nazir and Asghar claimed 2 wickets each.

First Division

Friends CC outplayed Intelligent Hawks CC by 5 wickets to bag First Division crown. IHCC scored 143 as Aamir Shahzad scored 43 off 36. After he was run out everything went in FCC favor. Abdul Azeem and Abdul Qader claimws 2 wickets each. In reply, FCC chased the target in 17.2 overs. Hamid scored yet another fifty (52 off 39). After his departure, it was Saif who took FCC to the finishing line by scoring 45 off 26. Nasir grabbed 2 wickets. — SG
