Faisalabad King wins first ACL-SCC T10 event

JEDDAH — Faisalabad King beat SMSA sports club by 36 runs in the final of first SCC-T10 Cricket Tournament 2018. The event was organized by Asir Cricket League (ACL) with the support of Saudi Cricket Center and sponsored by Arabian Cooperative Company (ACC).

Eng. Haridas, Asar CEO of ACC was the chief guest at a glittering prize distribution ceremony.

He gave away the trophies and cash awards to the winner, runner-up and individual performers along with Mohammed Anjum, sales and marketing manager, Asghar Ali Khan, chairman ACL, and Farasat Afridi, senior vice chairman.

Special guests were Rao Awais, Malik Muzafar, Malik Javed Iqbal, Khurram Butt, Farooq Butt, Asim and Rana Yousuf. ACL members Chaudary Riaz, Tayyab, Malik Manazir and Ahsan Waheed also attended the ceremony.

Zaigham Abbas of Faisalabad was adjudged Man of the Final and Series. Others who received awards were Tariq Jutt and Naseer (Umpires), Abdul Saboor Butt (Scorer) and Arshad Butt (Match Referee).

Faisalabad elected to bat first and posted 148-5 in 10 overs. Zaighgum Abbas scored a brilliant 84 off 31 and Zaka Butt 25 off 11 balls. Abid and Waqas grabbed one wicket each for 9 and 17 runs respectively.

In reply SMSA Sports Club managed 112-5 in 10 overs. Nazakat batted well for 61 off 27. Nasir Malik remained not out for 32 off 21 balls. Basit Butt took 2 for 28 runs.
